Primrose Center Newsroom Archive 2015

December 23, 2015 - The "Matthew's Hope Gives Back" campaign, launched six months ago, helped to paint the home of a former Winter Garden police officer struggling with mounting bills from a sick child. It built and stocked a food pantry at West Orange High School and built an arbor for Gotha Middle School. It provided a Santa-for-a-day, food and presents to low-income and special-needs children. And it created Christmas for the developmentally disabled adults of Orlando's Primrose Center, where Miss Mimi lives.

August 2015 - Rita Marullo from Adriana’s Attic is still super couponing on our behalf.  Please assist us by bringing in coupons you are not using.  Don’t forget those Sunday Coupons!  We have been able to keep our shelves stocked with all kinds of helpful items. There is a big pink coupon box in the front time clock room at the main office on Fern Creek to put the coupons in,  or you can send them in with someone. Adriana’s Attic has been donating a large amount of products such as food for the cafeteria and laundry detergent, both purchased by Super Couponing.

July 2015 - Thank you to Kiwanis Action Club for their ongoing support of Primrose Center. Their team joins us monthly for meetings, providing an opportunity for the members who have developmental and intellectual disabilities to learn leadership skills and to serve their community by helping others.

June 2015 - Consistent fundraising efforts are crucial to continue the important work we are doing in the Central Florida community. Our fundraising team is always looking for unique ways to raise additional funds to support our programs and services.  In June we kicked off a Shoe Drive. We collect all kinds of shoes in any condition and are paid by the pound for them. Our partner organization then refurbishes them for distribution in third world countries. A Win-Win!
