Letter from Jake White, Primrose Center CEO
As I enter my third year as CEO of Primrose Center, I am honored to reflect on the remarkable journey we have taken together. This past year has been defined by progress, transformation, and a renewed commitment to our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their highest potential. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our team, Board of Directors, Donors, families, and community partners who continue to make this work possible.
Facility Enhancements
“Pardon our dust” has become a fitting theme as we embark on a year of significant construction and upgrades. Improvements include new hurricane windows and doors, a smart UPS backup generator, upgraded HVAC systems across campus, replacement of chain-link fencing with black metal fencing, new roofs at Co-Op, Civitan, and Cypress, as well as renovated kitchens and bathrooms. These enhancements reflect our commitment to providing safe, modern, and welcoming environments for those we serve.
Strengthening Our Team
Thanks to the generous support of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, we are making meaningful investments in staff training and development. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and we remain committed to cultivating knowledgeable, professional individuals who bring passion, expertise, and innovation to our programs.
Expanding Programs and Services
In alignment with our focus on continuous improvement, we have introduced new initiatives to support both personal and professional growth. We are proud to launch a Kiwanis Aktion Club for our residents, fostering leadership and community engagement. Our Adult Day Training program now rotates between classrooms to provide fresh perspectives and expanded activities, including outdoor time in Susan’s Park. Additionally, we have strengthened partnerships that create new opportunities for employment and meaningful community involvement.
Positive Changes in Our Community
We continue to lead efforts that promote collaboration and progress across the industry through our leadership in the Central Florida Intellectual and Developmental Disability Collaborative. Building strong relationships within the I/DD community is essential to advancing our mission and creating lasting, positive change for the individuals we proudly serve, our Panthers.
What’s Next
While we celebrate these achievements, we remain focused on the future. Our strategic priorities include continued program enhancements, further infrastructure improvements, and expanding our reach to serve more individuals and families. We are committed to ensuring that Primrose Center remains a leader in delivering compassionate, high-quality services that empower lives.
Thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission. Your contributions of time, resources, and advocacy are making a meaningful and lasting impact. I look forward to another year of collaboration, growth, and shared success.
With gratitude,
Jake White, MBA, CNL
CEO, Primrose Center
