July 2016 - Primrose Center, Inc. was established in 1952 as a non-profit organization by concerned parents and community leaders. At that time, no services were available in the community for people with developmental disabilities. Primrose began by serving 10 people and today is providing professional education and support to more than 300 adults on a daily basis. In 1960 we moved from the abandoned barracks located on the corner of Primrose Drive and Colonial Drive, which we had occupied for seven years, to our current location at 2733 South Ferncreek Avenue.

December 23, 2015 - The "Matthew's Hope Gives Back" campaign, launched six months ago, helped to paint the home of a former Winter Garden police officer struggling with mounting bills from a sick child. It built and stocked a food pantry at West Orange High School and built an arbor for Gotha Middle School. It provided a Santa-for-a-day, food and presents to low-income and special-needs children. And it created Christmas for the developmentally disabled adults of Orlando's Primrose Center, where Miss Mimi lives.
